Good news for the HHP!

Dear HHP students and members,

I think we can all remember all too well the news we got right before Christmas – that Utrecht University had to cut costs, and that most if not all bachelor’s level honours programmes would be abolished as a consequence, including our beloved HHP. Well, after weeks of uncertainty and speculation, we are finally able to bring good news: the Humanities Honours Programme will not disappear after all! Or, at least, not the coming years, as the University Council voted against the plan last week, which has ensured that the HHP can continue to enroll new students for at least next year as the Executive Board has to come up with a new plan. Fantastic news!
