Travelling Concepts on Air: A podcast on interdisciplinary concepts

Are you always looking to learn more? Are you curious about those concepts that lie at the crossroads between multiple disciplines? Then the new podcast for you is: Travelling Concepts on Air.

This podcast is hosted by anthropologist Dr. Tessa Diphoorn and legal scholar Dr. Brianne McGonigle Leyh, who are both teachers and researchers at Utrecht University. In the podcast, they critically question the promise and ideal of interdisciplinarity by focusing on concepts that travel across disciplines (“travelling concepts”). Each podcast episode includes two guest speakers and deals with one concept. Concepts that were covered in Season 1 included War, Sustainability, Time, Civil Society, Heritage, Agency, Legitimacy, Transformation, and Diplomacy. Season 2 of the podcast kicked off with the concept of Sea Level, followed by episodes on Surveillance, Equilibrium, Security, Facts and Sovereignty, and other concepts on the way! Season 2 also features a guest episode made by graduate humanities honours students!

After listening to one or more of the episodes (or if you already have), be sure to fill out the short survey found here. Giving insight to the podcast producers on how the podcast is being appreciated and where they can improve.
