An Unforgettable Internship at Museum de Lakenhal, continued

Little more than a month ago Titia Janssen, an Art History Honours student, told us all about her internship at Museum de Lakenhal and the exciting project she got to work on for her Masters thesis there: redesigning the Bakker Korff Room. An especially interesting task she got was getting to redesign the way in which the paintings by artist Alexander Hugo Bakker Korff would be hung and displayed on the walls of the room, as well as selecting the paintings themselves and writing texts for them.

These new designs have now been implemented and can be admired in the Bakker Korff Room! Even better, there will be an in-depth presentation this sunday, October 6th from 11:00 to 12:30, during which both Titia Janssen and curator Janneke van Asperen will be present, telling visitors more about this new design and how it connects to Bakker Korff’s style and wit.
