Symposium: Cross-disciplinary Humanities

Dear HHP members,

On the 23rd of May, the Humanities Honours Programme (HHP) will organize a symposium with a kaleidoscopic perspective on cross-disciplinarity. The event will include general introductions to various cross-disciplinary fields by Utrecht University staff and guest speakers. It will explore several approaches, from the integration or assimilation of disciplines into neo-disciplines, to more informal encounters and dialogues that can be just as promising.

This symposium offers general introductions of different cross-disciplinary fields by UU staff and some guest speakers. HHP-students will present case-studies from the recent course ‘Humanities in Context’. A panel discussion led by Iris van der Tuin, Dean of Interdisciplinary Education UU, will conclude the symposium. For a more in-depth discussion of the subject, you can read more at https://www.uu.nl/en/events/symposium-cross-disciplinary-humanities. The programme of the day can be found below and on the attached poster!

Registration has to be done before the 19th of May. To apply, please send an email to: cross.disciplinarysymposium@gmail.com
